““traumacore”“ blogs who post photos of children (esp ones that dont make any attempt to hide their face/s and/or Very Clearly from child exploitation material but this counts even for censored versions of sfw images) as ~aesthetic~ are so fucking weird do none of you ever put into any thought into how it would feel for someone to see images of ourselves as a child (or someone to see images of their child that they posted in a perfectly innocent private context) on someones fucking tumblr aesthetic blog alongside shit like “daddy hurt me” hello kitty notebook pages and rape porn screenshots
when i was like 16 i had to see an aes blog whod posted an image of me as a young child tagged as “traumacore,” “found on pinterest" and “hello kitty” (irt a tshirt visible in the image) and its one of the worst experiences ive ever had on here. i had to disclose to a random online stranger that an image they posted was taken in the context of set of photos of a 7/8 year old being sexually abused, that i could prove who it was cause at the time i still owned the tshirt shown in it as a result of images like it making me hate my body so much it still fit, that id vomited after seeing it cause it brought back all of that.
every single time you post or rb an image of a child for an aesthetic, this is something youre putting a survivor through. and in the few cases you arent, youre putting a parent through seeing that an innocent image of their child they posted privately has been shared w/out their consent in order to associate it w traumatic imagery.
